History

Lacrosse is considered to be America's first sport. Its history can be traced to the Native North Americans. Early history of lacrosse shows us that the sport was a training ground for men for war, and also for settling disputes between tribes of America and Canada. Lacrosse games could last for days. Trees or rocks were used to mark the goals and points were scored by hitting the goals with the ball. Many different versions of the game emerged with different types of sticks. About Lacrosse

Lacrosse is one of the fastest growing team sports in the United States. The sport of lacrosse is a combination of basketball, soccer and hockey. Anyone can play lacrosse, the big or the small. The game requires and favors coordination and agility, not brawn. Quickness and speed are the most highly prized qualities in lacrosse.

Lacrosse is fast-paced and full of action. Game play includes long sprints up and down the field with abrupt starts and stops, passes, dodges and shots on goal. Lacrosse is played with a stick, the crosse, which must be mastered by the player to throw, catch and scoop the ball. Above all else lacrosse is FUN.
